TAKING CALLS ON ALL SUBJECTS. 0808 5 92 95 00. Text 80295. WILDFIRES The major wildfire in the Cairngorms has entered its second week, with firefighters reporting progress but continuing to tackle challenging conditions. Meanwhile, French president Emmanuel Macron has called a crisis meeting as wildfires threaten areas around Bordeaux and large parts of France and Spain continue to deal with severe blazes and mass evacuations. The wildfire has prompted first minister John Swinney to warn that 'climate change is happening' and has said that Scotland must prepare for more frequent extreme weather events. Have recent wildfires brought climate concerns closer to home? AI IN SCHOOLS The UK now has a minister for artificial intelligence - Kanishka Narayan has been promoted by prime minister Andy Burnham to become the first person to hold the position in the Cabinet. Narayan has described AI as 'the most significant technology in human history', and it looks like it’s here to stay. The Scottish government’s guidance on artificial intelligence in schools, published in March, sets out principles and guardrails for the safe and ethical use of AI. But AI-specific teaching is not mandatory, and it’s up to individual schools to decide the extent to which it should be included in the curriculum. Should AI lessons be compulsory in schools? PANIC ATTACKS Karen Carney says a panic attack she experienced off-air changed her outlook on life. And she's not alone. Star of Stranger Things Millie Bobby Brown has recently opened up about her experiences of panic attacks, and Fearne Cotton has also spoken about the severe panic attacks and anxiety that affected her daily life, including a four-year period where she couldn't drive on motorways. Have you ever had a panic attack and what helped you through it? GIRLGUIDES Girlguiding has unveiled the first major redesign of its uniform in more than 30 years, with the aim of allowing its members the 'freedom to express themselves'. But beyond the uniform, many people have fond memories of being in the Brownies, Guides, Scouts or Boys' Brigade. Did the Guides, Brownies or Scouts shape who you are today?
