Another unfortunate injury for Singapore's Jovi Loh on the parallel bars in today's final saw him stretchered off by medical staff with an apparent knee injury.

It brought back memories of Friday night's sickening fall by England's Gabriel Langton from the high bar.

The 19-year-old was released from hospital on Saturday and is back with the team and speaking atter today's all-around final teammate Luke Whitehouse said there was: "A lot fo relief knowing there's no serious injuries,, just bruising.

"The team welcomed him back into the hotel, so that was really special. He's my room mate at these championships, so just a lot of relief and so happy for him.

"We still need a full group picture (with the team silver medal), we haven't had a full team picture of all five of us.

"I'm just so happy for the team and happy that Gabe's alright."

As fantastic as Reuben Ward was on his way to gold, Canada's Felix Dolci must wonder what if?

The team silver medallist posted 13.450 for his floor routine. Good start.

He then scored 9.500 for the pommel horse after coming off twice. It was the second lowest score on any apparatus by any of the 18 finalists.

Somehow he produced one of the great comebacks in the sport with 13.850 on the rings, 14.200 on the vault, 13.950 on the parallel bars and then a stunning 14.500 on the high bar to snatch silver.

If he'd only come off the pommel once he'd have likely been wearing a gold medal right now.

There was a sense beforehand that Reuben Ward could contend here. A bronze maybe. Perhaps even a silver depending how things go.

His team-mates privately made noises that, should everything fall in his favour, gold could be within reach. They had seen him in training, and performed alongside him in the team event on Friday, where Scotland finished fourth.

They knew he was in good shape. And they've been proved right. A third gold medal of these Games for Scotland.

That's one of the most dramatic finales to any sporting event I can remember.

Felix Dolci came from nowhere to leave everyone - Reuben Ward included - in hushed silence waiting for his final score.

14.500 on that high bar was the highest on any apparatus by any athlete. He came so close to pulling off a stunning comeback to burgle the gold.

Jesse Moore's slips on the floor cost him at least silver, if not gold, while Adam Tobin's consistent showing for England was in vain as he finished 0.850 off the pace in fifth after that stunning finale.

12 years after watching the Glasgow Commonwealth Games from the stands, Scotland's Reuben Ward, who only turned 21 last weekend, is the men's all-around champion.

Scotland's first ever gold medallist in the men's all-around and just their second ever medal in the event.

It's CANADA'S FELIX DOLCI who ends up as his closest competitor, just .200 behind. One blip on the pommel horse in which he scored 9.500 and five superb others. Incredible. 14.500 on the high bar catapulted him into the medals.

Jesse Moore ends up in third and Adam Tobin of England is left down in fifth after a stellar finish from Cypriot Marios Georgiou on his final two rotations to take fourth.
