  1. CLOSE!published at 21:09 BST 23 July

    Motherwell 2-0 HB Torshavn

    That's almost three again!

It's a sensational run from Tom Sparrow who skips past numerous HB defenders before laying the ball off to Ibrahim Said inside the opposition box. He, once again, gets the ball caught under his feet but manages to tee up Willy Vogt although the striker's effort isn't the most powerful and the goalkeeper saves.

  2. Motherwell get their rewardpublished at 21:04 BST 23 July

    Tom English
BBC Scotland's chief sports writer at Fir Park

There we go, another shot from distance and another pearler for Motherwell.

I said at half-time on the radio that Motherwell needed to be absolutely ruthless in building their lead because they're a lot better than HB and they needed, and deserved, that second goal.

Despite having six debutants and a truckload of experience unavailable there is a lot of cohesion in this team, a lot of the same things we saw last season.

I know HB are not a good team but how many poor teams have beaten Scottish opposition in Europe? That's a long, long list. Motherwell won't be adding to that list tonight.

    Lukas Fadinger

    Another absolute rocket!

Once again it was great build up play from Motherwell, Dylan Williams played a wonderful ball into the middle of the box but it looked like the chance had gone as the ball was headed clear by the visitors.

It fell to Lukas Fadinger on the edge who, to a chorus of "shoot" from supporters, rifled one in off the underside of the crossbar.

  14. HALF-TIME Motherwell 1-0 HB Torshavnpublished at 20:32 BST 23 July

Not a bad first half for Motherwell. They'll be happy to be a goal up, less so that they couldn't make more of their dominance.

A few nervy moments as the half wore on but they go into the break with a crucial one-goal lead.

It'll be interesting to see what Alfred Johansson does in the second half.
