South Africa warn against door to door search of migrant documents as Ghana evacuate anoda 1,000 citizens

About 1000 Ghanaians wey dey live for South Africa dey expected to land Accra Ghana on Sunday, 26 July and Monday, 27 July, as part of govment effort to evacuate dia citizens from di rainbow kontri sake of anti-immigration protest.

On Saturday, Ghana minister of foreign affairs Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa for statement announce say dis latest evacuation phase go be in groups.

"Dis evacuation exercise na for pipo wey don already register wit di Ghana High Commission for Pretoria to voluntarily leave di kontri," di minister tok.

E say dem no go abandon any national wey wan comot for South Africa and leave am for di way of harm.

"Di govment of Ghana and our high commission for Pretoria remain alert and don reactivate dia emergency consular response as we tanda ready to assist all Ghanaians wey dey live for South Africa to return home safely."

For June, di kontri bin repatriate nearly 1,000 pipo South Africa sake of xenophobic attacks and harassment against African nationals.

Ghana be one of di first kontris wey begin to repatriate dia citizens afta fresh wave of attacks for South Africa.

Later, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Ethiopia, Kenya and oda kontris follow for di repatriation exercise to evacuate dia citizens from di kontri.

Chairperson of di Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration, Nkhensani Mmamoloko Kubayi tok say between 14 June to 24 July, dem don process and deport a total of 68,138 foreign nationals of various nationalities.

She announce di informate on Sunday, 26 July during one press briefing to update South Africans on how di govment dey implement di 'Five-Point plan' to strengthen migration management for di kontri.

Kubayi say majority of di nationals dem process for di point of repatriations na Malawian nationals, followed by Zimbabwean and Mozambican nationals.

On di arrest of illegal migrants and businesses wey employ illegal migrants, di South Africa govment say law enforcement authorities don register three hundred and fifty four (354) cases of arrests and prosecutions against individuals wey go against di law wey relate to di issue of migration.

Di IMC say since 1 April to di end of June, di immigration courts don finalist 28, 736 immigration related cases mainly for deportations.
