Airline adds two more Jersey routes for summer

Airline Jet2 has added two new routes from England to Jersey for the rest of summer.

The new routes connect Jersey with Bournemouth and London Stansted airports.

It means the airline will operate eight routes between the UK and Jersey during the summer.

Chief executive Steve Heapy said there was strong demand from customers and independent travel agents.

"This significant growth means we are offering more choice and flexibility than ever before," he said.

"With eight routes on sale and capacity growing three-fold for next summer, customers can enjoy even more choice and connectivity.

"This represents a significant investment in our Jersey operation and is a real demonstration of our commitment to this fantastic island."

Tricia Warwick, chief executive of Visit Jersey, said the new routes showed the airline's "continued confidence in Jersey".

"These new routes make Jersey easy-to-reach for visitors who may never have considered the island before, and present an opportunity to showcase our incredible landscapes, world-class food, and warm welcome to a wider audience," she said.

"We look forward to working with Jet2 and Ports of Jersey to inspire travellers to choose Jersey for their next getaway."
