Teenager charged over Borders primary school fire

A teenager has been charged in connection with a fire which damaged a primary school in the Scottish Borders.

Four fire crews were called out shortly after 13:30 on Saturday to the site in Newtown St Boswells.

Estates officers from Scottish Borders Council will conduct a full damage asssessment over the coming days.

The local authority said it would provide updates for parents and the community once those were completed.
